The Nova 1000, aimed at small office/home office (SOHO) users, offers always on broadband Internet access at speeds of up to 1 Mbps download and 128 kbps upload. The Nova 1500, aimed at small business users, offers speeds of up to 1.5 Mbps download and 256 kbps upload.
All of the services utilize the advanced Gilat SkyEdge VSAT platform, and are available for $0 including equipment* and standard installation. The Nova modem is the first consumer grade satellite modem with a native 24VDC or 120VAC power input making it the perfect modem for remote solar off grid applications. It uses a low 2.8 amps @ 24VDC (actually that's only it's name plate rating it uses a lot less than that, especially when idle and not transmitting).
The Nova Equipment includes the standard hardware (.75 Meter Dish, a fixed trimast mount, feed arm (ODU and LNB), and modem). If the StarBundle offer is selected, there is no charge for the equipment* and standard installation. There is a monthly recurring charge (MRC) plus a monthly bundle service fee. If purchased, there is a one time cost for equipment and a monthly recurring charge (MRC). StarBand will bill your credit card directly for monthly charges. Or monthly paper billing is also available, however a credit card is necessary to set up your account.
